1. Never Use Hot Coffee 

Prepare the blend in advance and let it cool to a safe and lukewarm temperature before using it. Hot liquid can irritate or burn the delicate lining of the rectum and colon. If needed, you can also add cold water to lower the temperature. 

2. Use Clean, Sterilized Equipment 

Use a high-quality coffee enema kit and sterilize all the required equipment to reduce the risks of infections. Hygiene is essential. 

  • Wash the enema bag, tubing, and tip thoroughly after every use

  • Chronic Illnesses: Such as kidney, heart, or respiratory failure, hypertension, tachycardia, or a weakened immune system. 

  • Cancer or Chemotherapy: Active colorectal cancer or ongoing chemotherapy treatments. 

  • Uninvestigated Symptoms: Acute diarrhea, severe rectal bleeding, or colon ulceration. 

  • Recent Surgeries: Avoid within 6-8 weeks after abdominal, rectal, or colon surgery unless approved by your physician. 

How to Do a Coffee Enema? 

Step 1: Gather the Equipment 

Before you begin, make sure that you’ve everything you need to do a coffee enema. Having all supplies on hand helps ensure a smoother and safer experience. This is a list of things you’ll need: 

  1. Enema Coffee: Organic, pure, and finely ground is always best. 

  1. Enema bag or bucket kit: You can use a standard enema bag with a closed top or a stainless steel bucket that is easier to clean.  

  1. Measurement cups and spoons: To ensure you’re using the right quantity.  

  1. Wipes, towel or paper towels: To clean the equipment, enema tip or any spilling. 

  1. Coffee filter paper or strainerTo prevent grounds from entering the tube Be certain that you’re using a fine strainer. 

  1. Lubricant: You may use a vaseline or petroleum jelly or an oil like a sesame oil or coconut oil. 

  1. Water: Distilled or purified only. 

Things you'll need to do a coffee enema

Step 2: Clean the Equipment 

Thoroughly wash your enema bag or bucket, and entire equipment with warm, soapy water. Do wash the tube and insertion tip as well. For extra safety, you may sterilize all equipment before use. Proper hygiene helps reduce the risk of irritation or infection. 

Step 3: Prepare the Blend 

1. Pour 4 cups of distilled or purified water into a stainless steel pot. Avoid using aluminum pots. 

2. Add 3 Tablespoons of Wellness Extract Premium Enema Coffee, stir it and bring it to a boil. 

3. Boil on high flame for 5 minutes. 

4. Reduce heat and cover with a lid. Simmer for 15 minutes. 

5. Remove from the stove and cool to lukewarm. If needed, add more water to cool it down and replace the water evaporated during the brewing process. 

Step 4: Strain the Coffee 

Strain the brewed coffee using a fine strainer or filter paper to remove all grounds. This step is essential to prevent irritation or blockage.  

Step 5: Perform the Enema 

  1. Hang the bag/bucket at a high point (2-3 feet above your abdomen).  

  1. Close the clamp on the hose to avoid any leakage during filling. Pour the coffee into a clean bucket or bag.  

  1. Purge air by holding the tip high above the enema bag and opening the clamp. Let the coffee fill the hose to its end. You may close the clamp now. 

  1. Now lubricate the tip and your colon (a lot of lubrication is always helpful). Lie on your left, pull your knees up and gently insert the tip of the hose to about 2-3 inches inside your colon. (You may lie on your back also) 

  1. Open the clamp and let the enema coffee flow in your colon for about 15 minutes, if comfortable. 

Step 6: Evacuate 

When the enema bucket or bag is empty, gently remove the tip. Hold the liquid inside for about 15 minutes (if you can). Proceed to the toilet to evacuate the enema.
