Since it is sourced from animals (cows), it is considered a vegetarian but it is not a vegan product.

We don't add or remove anything. It is 100% pure 6 hr extracted colostrum. It has natural whey which comes as a part of Colostrum. Colostrum contains the following caloric components: Dietary protein, after excluding immunoglobulins (up to 70-80% of total protein, compared to 1-2% in milk) the remaining protein in colostrum is a 3:1 ratio of Whey Protein to Casein Protein.

The calves' needs are our top priority. Once they've received the necessary amount of Colostrum—typically at least 2 quarts to ensure their survival—any extra is collected. On average, 4 to 8 quarts remain after the calves are fully nourished, which is what we use.
